The KIU – Competence Network Interdisciplinary Ukrainian Studies Frankfurt (Oder) – Berlin calls for applications for its second round of RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS (summer term 2025).
The Research Fellowship Programme was launched in the winter term 2024-25 and is now accepting applications for its second round. The call offers scholarship opportunities for international researchers lasting from May to July 2025. The programme provides up to 20 fellowships for researchers from various disciplines to conduct intensive research on aspects of history, culture, the state, society, and conflict related to Ukraine. The fellowship consists of 9 residential positions at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt Oder, Germany, and 9 sur place fellowships for researchers currently residing in Ukraine. The duration of the programme is 3 months for residential fellows and up to 4 months for sur place fellows (up from July). A stay at the Viadrina as a visiting scholar is associated with a stipend of up to 2,300 € per month. Non-residential KIU fellows are supported in their work with 450 € per month.

- For non-residential (sur-place) research fellowships: by 31 March 2025
