@_nicestperson spent one semester in Michigan, USA at Michigan University - Ross School of Business & she shared with us the 3 best and worst experiences about her exchange!🇺🇸
✨People: Both fellow students and professors that I met during this exchange, not only taught me many things but also made this experience incredibly enjoyable and fun, leaving me with cherished relationships.
✨Travel: One of the highlights of my study abroad adventure has to be the travelling within the USA. I mean, you could easily hop on a train or plane and by anywhere from the busy streets of New York City to the sunny beaches of Miami.
✨University: The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor was an awesome place to be. The city had everything you could ask for from its nature beauty to its cultural offerings and sports events, while being only small university city.
✖️Prices: From the rent to insurance to dining out, everything was so expensive. I had to create a very tight budget to make sure I will have enough money till the end of this exchange.
✖️Distance: Though Ann Arbor was relatively smaller city, everything was very far away from each other. Since most people have cars the markets and malls are usually on the edge of the city and there’s no easy way to get there other than uber or wait 30 min for a bus to come + you can’t walk to the places since the aren’t any pavements for you to walk on, only roads for cars.
✖️Weather: Michigan especially from January to end of March is very cold 🥶. Snowstorms are the usual occurrence here and you won’t see sun much during this period.
