  • @jarda.vacek spent his semester abroad at Korea University🎓, and shared with us the 3 best and 3 worst parts of his experience in South Korea🇰🇷✨

3 Best:
✨People and culture - The people are friendly, hardworking, kind, and caring. You feel safe among them, and the culture is rich and fascinating.
✨Travel opportunities - Korea’s location in Asia makes it easy and affordable to travel to neighboring countries like China, Hong Kong, and Japan.
✨University life and social events - The university organizes incredible parties, events, and programs. You study hard, but there’s also a lot of socializing, meeting new people, and celebrating. Parties in Korea are really top-notch.

3 Worst:
✖️Visa and bureaucracy - Getting a Korean visa is very time-consuming and administratively complex. You can’t leave the country until everything, including the card, is completely processed.
✖️Spicy food - Korean food is amazing, but it’s often very spicy. If your stomach isn’t used to it, it can cause discomfort, and fried or spicy food doesn’t always help.
✖️Expensive and small accommodation - Housing is costly and usually very compact, like living in goshiwons. It’s manageable for a short stay, but living there for an entire bachelor’s degree would be tough.
