VSE in Prague awarded in the 8th annual “Czech National Agency for International Education and Research Awards”

On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, a gala evening was held at the National House in Vinohrady in Prague, where the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research awarded the best projects in the field of international education. The awards were given in eight categories that reflect the priority areas of education articulated by the European Commission and the national Strategy 2030+. The projects competed in categories of inclusion and diversity, sustainability, digitalization, participation, flexibility and innovation, and internationalization. A special award was also awarded to individuals in the category of outgoing and incoming participants.

Prague University of Economics and Business was represented by the Erasmus Picker project: A digital compass for choosing a university, which advanced to the shortlist and also received an award for an extraordinary achievement in the Digitalization category.

The Erasmus Picker project was created as a result of intensive cooperation between students of computer science and the International Office of VSE. The outcome of the cooperation is a digital tool that will make it easier for students to choose a suitable destination for studying abroad. Using modern digital technologies, an interactive web application was created that offers a clear visualization of data about almost 250 partner universities around the world and is an innovative solution that represents a significant shift from printed brochures or Excel sheets.
