@noemi_gruntoradova spent her semester abroad at Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli (LUISS)🎓, and shared with us the 3 best and worst parts of her experience in the ancient city of Rome, Italy! ✨🇮🇹 3 Best: ✨ Friends: The best part of my Erasmus was meeting incredible friends from around the world. We shared unforgettable moments—parties, travels, birthdays—and supported each other like a family. Even now, we stay in touch and visit whenever we can.🌍👫 ✨ Italian culture and cuisine: Italian culture and cuisine were incredible—delicious pizza, pasta, gelato, and the €3 pistacchio tiramisu from Two Sizes. With historical monuments everywhere and great discounts for under-26 Europeans, exploring Rome was both fascinating and affordable.🏛️🍕 ✨ Travelling: Rome was the ideal base for exploring Italy—I visited the Amalfi Coast, Florence, Bologna and many more. I also found great flight deals to Malta, Barcelona, and Lisbon. The semester reignited my love for travel and gave me the confidence to travel solo.✈️🧭 3 Worst: ✖️ Housing situation: Finding housing in Rome was a nightmare—despite starting early, dorm spots were gone, and I ended up sharing a room with a friend, quite far from the uni, dealing with dead bugs, difficult flatmates, and landlord issues.🏠🪳 ✖️ Public transport: Getting around Rome was chaotic—buses and trams ignoring schedules, transport strikes almost every week, and limited metro operation due to reconstruction. Add overcrowding and no Uber or Bolt, and I couldn’t help but appreciate Prague’s transport system even more.🚧🚊 ✖️ Tourists: The constant crowds and long lines in Rome were overwhelming, making even simple activities like going to school, getting food (not to mention sightseeing) a challenge—but it inspired me to escape the city often and explore other places.📸⛲️ #erasmus #studyabroad #erasmusitaly #romeitaly #erasmuslife #studentexperience
