Aside from the Exchange programme mediated by VSE, there are other scholarship programmes that students can use for financing their study abroad.
This overview includes only some of them. The VSE International Office does not mediate these programmes, students must arrange them individually.

AKTION Austria – Czech Republic
- two types of activities are supported:
- individual – scholarships for study and research stays in the other country
- institutional – funding of cooperation projects between Czech and Austrian institutions in the tertiary education sector
BAYHOST
- the Bavarian Academic Center for Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe
- scholarship programme supporting doctoral and postgraduate studies in Bavaria
- educational programme for teachers of German and scholarship programme for language education
- practical work stays (internships, traineeships)
Campus France
- provides comprehensive information for anyone interested in studying at a university in France, whether in French or in English, including information on scholarship opportunities
Czech-German Fund for the Future
- Deutsch-Tschechischer Zukunfstfonds
- scholarship programme for year-long study abroad in Germany, including work on projects with a Czech-German theme
GFPS-CZ
- Gemeinschaft für Praktika und Stipendien
- scholarship opportunities for study stays at a range of German universities
- traineeships combining an internship at a German organisation or company with study at one of the partner universities

International Visegrad Fund
- grants for study abroad for individual applicants in Master’s and PhD programmes (usually provided for 1–2 semesters)
- 2 types of grants:
- Intra-Visegrad Scholarships – for study in V4 countries other than the applicant’s home country
- Out-Going Scholarships – for study in countries outside the V4: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Georgia, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldova, the Russian Federation and Ukraine
Fulbright Commission
- scholarship programmes
- information and advisory services related to e.g. educational opportunities in the USA, language exams and standardized tests required by American institutions, etc.
Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS)
- scholarships for talented students and support for international students to study in Germany and other countries
Intergovernmental Scholarships
Scholarship stays based on intergovernmental agreements (which specify the length of the stay, number of places, requirements for applicants, etc.) are offered by the Academic Information Agency (AIA) to students and academic staff of public universities in the Czech Republic.
Types of scholarship stays: summer language schools, study stays (1 to 2 semesters, exceptionally the entire course of study).
The selection procedures are open to students of all public universities. The offer is never specified to a particular foreign university; applicants are expected to take an active approach and find contact with a university relevant to their field of study themselves.
Applicants from VŠE fill in the application via the portal studujnavs.gov.cz and upload the required attachments. Consent to send the student is granted/signed by the vice-dean for international relations of the relevant faculty.

German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU)
- Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt
- MOE-Austauschstipendienprogramm / Scholarship Programme for Central and Eastern Europe: a scholarship programme supporting graduates of Master’s/engineering studies (whether or not continuing into doctoral studies) who intend to undertake a research internship/traineeship in a field related to environmental protection and development at a German professional institution
Prague Finance Institute
- scholarship for Czech students for Master’s studies at a prestigious foreign university focused on economics or finance
University of Nebraska-Lincoln: Paul Robitschek Scholarship Program
- scholarship for students of Czech universities who would like to spend two semesters studying at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (USA) at the undergraduate level (Bachelor’s degree/first cycle of higher education)
Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE)
- an international exchange programme within which those interested in entrepreneurship can go on a stay abroad
Barrande Fellowship Programme
- an exchange mobility programme between France and the Czech Republic intended for doctoral students
- offers scholarships to support short research stays and studies under joint supervision (cotutelles)
The Karel Výborný Foundation Fund
- financial support for university and secondary school students on short-term trips abroad
- contributions towards conferences, summer schools, and research stays at universities or institutes
