Europe Day: study and experience without borders

Studying abroad, practical internship or teaching at a partner university – all these activities are an important part of European integration, the beginning of which we commemorate every year on May 9 on the occasion of Europe Day.

The Erasmus+ program plays a crucial role in this area, which for decades has enabled students, university staff and interns to go abroad and at the same time brings foreign students to European universities.

Prague University of Economics and Business is a natural part of the European higher education. Thanks to the Erasmus+ program and other forms of international cooperation, students and employees of VSE have the opportunity to gain experience at partner universities in Europe and beyond. In 2025, a total of 910 students of VSE went abroad under the Erasmus+ program – either for a study stay or a practical internship. In the same year, 141 VSE employees participated in training abroad or teaching stays at partner institutions.

Europe Day is a good opportunity to remind us that international experience is not an exception today, but a regular part of studying and working at a university.
