• 1^st place:  Karina Artemova (FBA) – „Closer to Gods“ (Belgium, HEC Liège, SS 2024)

Expert jury evaluation: Amazing light/tonal atmosphere! Converting to shades of gray was the right choice. The shapes and lines of light and shadows stood out beautifully. The silhouettes gave a mysterious and mystical effect. Compositionally perfect: the lines point to the light source located exactly at the intersection of the golden ratio.

• 2^nd place:  Noemi Gruntorádová (FIR) – „Reflection“ (Italy, LUISS – Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli, FS 2023)

Author’s comment: Walking from Vatican to Castel Sant’Angelo through Via della Conciliazione, I found some puddles on the ground left after a quick fall shower. I got the idea to use them for some pictures. As I was leaving, I saw other people taking the same photos. The photo accentuates the contrast between the stillness of the water, creating the perfect mirror, and people rushing around, reminding us to stop and enjoy the little things while they last.

Expert jury evaluation: Great colorful atmosphere. I appreciate the extraordinary and creative approach. The author blurred everything that moves for a long time, thus focusing attention on stationary objects. Great idea and great execution. I don’t know how she achieved it with a mobile phone, but it doesn’t matter.

• 3^rd place: Elena Sklenárová (FIR) – „Empire State of Mind“ (Canada, ESG UQAM, FS 2023)

Author’s comment: This photo was taken just moments after the sunset. The reflection makes it look like an infinite city that never sleeps.

Expert jury evaluation: Award for an extraordinary and creative approach. Great longitudinal central composition in combination with a tower exactly on the golden ratio! The viewer can only wonder how everything is put together there.

• Int. Office Prize:  Jorge Corea (FBA) – „Through a Stockholm door: A glimpse into knowledge“ (Sweden, Stockholm School of Economics, SS 2024)

Author’s comment: The photo is of the library of Stockholm School of Economics. I was amazed by the book stand in the center and the lighting that evoked feelings of entering a hidden treasure chamber. It was my first time there and I wanted to capture the moment.

• Marketing and PR Prize: Michaela Mikulecká (FBA) – „Lake as a picture downloaded from the internet“ (Norway, NHH – Norwegian School of Economics, SS 2024)

Evaluation of the Marketing and PR Department: On behalf of the PR department, we would like to commend Ms. Michaela Mikulecká for her photograph of a boat with mountains in the background. We assessed that the photo has a good composition, it exudes peace, the subjects are appropriately selected, and in addition, we see various reflections of nature in it – forests, waterfall, snow, etc. It impressed us.
