The student will receive the grant for max. duration of one semester regardless on the length of the stay.* The student does not pay any tuition fee to the partner university. There are different types of grants based on the location of the mobility:

Europe (Erasmus+ programme)
Countries are divided into 3 groups according to the cost of living and therefore the grant differs accordingly:

Group Host country Grant/month
1 Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Norway, Austria, Sweden, Great Britain 500 €
2 Belgium, Cyprus, Germany, Spain, Greece, Croatia, Island, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, Turkey 400 €
3 Bulgaria, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Hungary, Macedonia, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia 300 €

The grant is counted according to exact number of days of the mobility (1 month = 30 days). The first day is usually beginning of Orientation Week/Welcome Day/Enrolment/Language Course and the last day is the day of last academic commitment. The student receives the whole grant in one payment in euros in form of Europayment to a bank account by a czech bank only!

Switzerland (SEMP)
Students going to Switzerland* will receive a grant  420 CHF/month (1 mobility = 5 months) from Swiss government in frame of Swiss-European Mobility Programme (SEMP). Student has to apply for this grant according to information from partner university. In case that the Swiss grant counted to Euro and to exact number of days of the mobility (1 month = 30 days) is less than  500 € per month, the student will receive additional one-time grant from VSE, in order to equalize the grant.

*IB Students going to International University in Geneva do not get the grant from SEMP, they receive a grant from VSE Scholarship Fund paid in Czech Crowns corresponding to 500 €/month.

Overseas and Russia (VSE Scholarship Grant)

  • The amount of the grant is 10 000 CZK per month (rounded up to half months).
